VN boasts for first batch of A/H1N1 vaccine
VGP – The Hồ Chí Minh City Pasteur Institute recently produced the first batch of A/H1N1 swine flu vaccines after five months conducting cell-based culture.
The batch of vaccine was
made in the library scope and will go through clinical tests on animals and
human beings before coming to mass production.

In the period of 2006-2009,
the HCMC Pasteur Institute has succeeded in producing A/H5N1 vaccine of which performance
is proved through pre-clinical experiments.
According to Dr. Cao Thị
Bảo Vân, Vice Director of the Institute, cell-based culture is an advance
technology which can help to raise safety and quality of vaccine as well as
enable producers to churn out a large volume of vaccine in a short time.
