VN boosts tourism images in CNN

VGP – The 30-second video “Why not Viet Nam” will be broadcast on the U.S. Cable News Network (CNN) Asia within six weeks in a bid to introduce Viet Nam as a safe, new and exciting place to have an adventure in 2021.

October 19, 2020 3:25 PM GMT+7

The video ends with an invitation “When you’re ready to travel again, why not Viet Nam?” introducing the country’s stunning views from north to south.

It was produced by the Tourism Advisory Board, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and CNN as part of the nation’s tourism promotion program.

The clip is also available on www.vietnam.travel and social networking sites.

The “Why not Viet Nam” campaign marks the third time that a video on Vietnamese tourism has been broadcast by CNN.

Last summer, Da Nang city broadcast a 30-second video, featuring its land and people on BBC’s Asia-Pacific channel as part of efforts to revive the tourism sector, which was hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, Ha Noi spent US$2 million to popularize its tourism on CNN in 2017-2018./.
