VN confirms 12 new COVID-19 cases, patient tally reaches 976
VGP – The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control confirmed 12 new COVID-19 cases this afternoon, taking the patient tally to 976.
The latest cases include six in Da Nang and four in Hai Duong.
Specifically, patients 956-968 and 974-975 are aged between 33 and 59. Of these, one is health worker and the one is bodyguard at the Da Nang Hospital.
Patient 969 is a 25-year old woman from Ha Noi’s Hai Ba Trung District.
She contracted the virus from COVID-19 patient 962.
The woman is being treated at the Ha Noi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District.
Patients 970-973 are aged between 13 and 41 and linked to the COVID-19 cluster Ngo Quyen Street in Hai Duong city.
Patient 976 is a 42-year old man from Thach Son Commune, Thach Thanh District, Thanh Hoa Province.
He returned from Equatorial Guinea on July 29 and was immediately taken to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.
The country’s patient tally includes 467 recovered cases and 24 deaths./.
