VN confirms solidarity and cooperation with Cuba

VNGOP – Vietnam will maintain her solidarity to the Cuban people and try best to cement the bilateral friendship and cooperation. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng emphasized so in the cordial reception in the April 13 afternoon to the visiting Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng spoke highly of great achievements recently made by the Cuban Government and people, especially in building and protecting the socialist Cuba as well as socio-economic development. The PM expressed his hope that the Vietnam-Cuba cooperation and friendship will be further developed in the time to come. Vietnam and Cuban should fruitfully realize the commitments made in their governmental joint committee, the Government leader suggested.

Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque revealed that the Cuban Government and people are pleased at the solidified cooperation between the two countries. He said Cuba wants to promote cooperation in oid and gas exploitation, science and technique.

Previously on the same day, Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Phạm Gia Khiêm had talks with Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque. The Deputy PM and his guest thoroughly discussed close solidarity and cooperation between the two countries in general and the two Foreign Ministries in particular.

On behalf of the Cuban Government, Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque thanked the Vietnamese Government, Foreign Ministry and people for supporting Cuba in international organizations and multilateral forums. The guest expressed his wish that the two countries will be close brothers forever.
