VN exports nearly 17,000 guest workers in Q1

VGP - Việt Nam sent 16,851 guest workers overseas in the first three months of this year, according to the Overseas Labor Management Department under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

By the end of March, the number of Vietnamese guest workers in Taiwan
reached over 80,000
Taiwan continued to be Việt Nam’s biggest labor export recipient with 4,567 Vietnamese guest workers receiving in the first quarter, followed by the UAE with 3,553, Bahrain with 1,204, Libya with 1,063 and Japan with 1,046.

By the end of March, the number of Vietnamese guest workers in Taiwan was over 80,000, standing behind Indonesia only.

Việt Nam’s labor export is predicted to be promising this year because the world economy is recovering.

The country sent nearly 75,000 people abroad for working last year, realizing 83% of its plan. Of the guest workers, 21,677 were sent to Taiwan, 7,578 to the Republic of Korea, and 5,456 to Japan.
