The above point was shared by members of the steering committee for Covid-19 prevention and control at their meeting on Monday morning.

Over the past days, no new infection cases have been reported while 7 out of 16 confirmed patients have been cleared of the virus and discharged from hospital. The rest have been treated with positive outcomes.

The northern province of Vinh Phuc has been hit hardest with 11 patients, of whom 3 were discharged from hospital and 2 others have been tested negative for the virus.

The situation in Vinh Phuc’s Son Loi commune in Binh Xuyen district – the hotspot in Viet Nam -has been controlled well after local authorities imposed strict travel and quarantine regulations.

The northern locality was followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 3 patients, including two Chinese tourists who left from hospital after successful treatment.

Other 2 patients in Thanh Hoa and Khanh Hoa provinces have also been cured and discharged from hospitals, according to the steering committee, led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

No new infection cases have been reported in Thanh Hoa and Khanh Hoa over the last 30 and 28 days, respectively./.
