VGP – Vietnam is one of the ten countries which are most vulnerable to natural disasters, according to the leading source of global risk analysis Maplecroft.

Maplecroft found out that Asia is mostly vulnerable to natural disasters like quakes, floods and storms.

The region also has six countries suffering most from natural epidemics including Vietnam, India, Honduras, Laos, Haiti and Nicaragua. Damages caused by disasters are directly proportional to poor infrastructure and management competence in each country.

The research said that emerging and developing economies should build up capacity in response to natural disasters./.
