Ambassador Quy revealed that after Viet Nam was elected as a non-permanent member of the UNSC, the preparatory work was conducted and has been finalized. Especially, the mission recruited new members and shifted focus from General Assembly to UNSC.

A trial cooperative mechanism between New York and relevant agencies in Ha Noi has been implemented over the past month. So far, Viet Na    m has crafted the working program for January, 2020.

The Ambassador pointed out a series of challenges for Viet Nam, as a UNSC non-permanent member. These challenges included unexpected issues and complicated relations in the UNSC.

However, thanks to its experience, support of other countries especially 15 UNSC members, Viet Nam would take advantages of these opportunities to fulfill the mission, said Ambassador Quy./.
