VN to continue comprehensive integration

VGP – Viet Nam is continuing her comprehensive international integration, joining deeply into regional connectivity, enhancing the implementation of international agreements and together with other countries and international organizations striving for deep, sustainable and stable ties.

VN to continue comprehensive integration in 2014

Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh affirmed that Viet Nam would continue deep and comprehensive integration in 2014.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh made the statement during a banquet for the diplomatic corps in HaNoi on January 20 to herald the upcoming Tet.

He said that Viet Nam will accompany the international community in overcoming challenges, narrowing differences, addressing global issues, including such traditional and non-traditional security challenges as climate change, water resources and energy security.

Deputy PM Minh expressed his belief that cooperation, mutual support, trust enhancement and interest respect are the basis and the most effective approach to overcome difficulties together for peace and development.

The Government of Viet Nam will continue to enhance the economy’s restructure, improve the growth model and make strategic breakthroughs in regime, human resources and infrastructure, particularly in regime, which is the basis and decisive factor to improve the economy’s competitive capacity, as PM Nguyen Tan Dung mentioned in his new year message, said Deputy PM Minh.

He stressed the dynamic bridging role of ambassadors and heads of international organizations in promoting relations between their countries and organizations with Viet Nam for sound development of all nations in a friendly and prosperous community.

Deputy PM Minh also expressed his gratitude to fine sentiments, precious support and effective cooperation which international friends have spared for Vietnamese people, saying that the country will continue to boost friendship, cooperation and development with all countries and international organizations in the future.

On behalf of the diplomatic corps, Moroccan ambassador to Viet Nam El Houcine Fardani congratulated Viet Nam on its important achievements in 2013 and valued the outcomes harvested in external affairs.

Viet Nam has actively participated in international forums and organizations, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for the development of the country, the region and the world, said the ambassador.

He expressed his hope that with Vietnamese people’s unity, the close collaboration between Viet Nam and the international community, the country will overcome challenges and gain greater achievements in socio-economic development.
