VN to host Asia-Pacific bonsai festival

VGP - The 15th version of the Asia-Pacific Bonsai and Suiseki will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from November 15-20.

VN to host Asia-Pacific bonsai festival  in Ho Chi Minh City from November 15-20

The exhibition is held every two years, with this year’s show expecting to see the participation of approximately 50,000 domestic and 4,000 international arrivals, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Taiwan (China), Singapore, the Philippines and Viet Nam, which are members of the Asia- Pacific Bonsai Friendship Federation (ABFF).

The event will feature up to 2,000 bonsai works, in addition to up to 300 natural stone art works, known as Suiseki, and up to 150 works of natural landscape art, also known as Penjing Art, made by artisans nationwide.

During the exhibition a wide range of activities will be held, including a photo contest featuring Bonsai art, a workshop showcasing both global and Vietnamese bonsai, as well as sightseeing tours. 

Visits to bonsai gardens and source material producing areas in Ho Chi Minh City and southwestern provinces will be organised for foreign delegates.
