MoCST was assigned by the PM to work with relevant ministries and agencies to complete all necessary procedures for Việt Nam's admission to the Convention.

This is Việt Nam’s another attempt in the fight against doping, said Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú, a member of the board of the Southeast Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (SEA RADO).

Việt Nam has long paid attention to eradication of doping misuse in sports. The country joined the Copenhagen Declaration on Anti-Doping in Sport in November 2003.

Being a member of the Convention, Việt Nam wants to show its determination to prevent doping abuses in sports and host both regional and international game events.

In addition, thanks to UNESCO's assistance in training courses on doping prevention, sport activities in Việt Nam are expected to get better.
