VGP – Given the current regional and international context, Viet Nam urges parties not to take actions to further complicate the situation in the East Sea, stressed Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

May 14, 2020 9:30 PM GMT+7

Hang made the above statement at a press briefing Thursday afternoon as she was asked about reports saying that Chinese navy surveillance aircraft KJ-500 and KQ-200 were seen on Da Chu Thap (Ferry Cross Reef) in Viet Nam’s Truong Sa archipelago.

The Spokesperson reaffirmed that Viet Nam has sufficient historical evidence and legal basis to assert its sovereignty the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos in line with international law.

All activities of parties on the aforesaid archipelagos without Viet Nam’s permission are null and void, she underlined./.
