VN wants to deepen cooperation with Hungary and Japan

VNGOVNet – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng gave on March 19 separate receptions to Mr. Med Gyessy Peter, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Hungary, and Mr. Kozo Yamamoto, Japan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry who leads a visiting delegation of over 200 Japanese businessmen.

Mr. Med Gyessy Peter briefed PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng some major economic, political and social situations in Hungary.

"As a traditional friend of the Vietnamese people, Hungary always wishes to promote its cooperation and investment in all fields in Vietnam,” the guest stressed. He confirmed that Hungary is willing to share its experience with Vietnam in economic transformation, especially training a qualified labor force to serve the securities market.

Mr. Med Gyessy Peter who is also Hungary’s former PM, revealed that Hungary will invite Vietnam as a guest of honor to the International Tourism Fair 2008 organized in Hungary, so Vietnam can introduce present herself to the international community.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng expressed his hope that, in the time to come, the two countries will boost bilateral cooperation, not only in economy, trade and investment but also in culture, education, health and tourism. He suggested Vietnam and Hungary to exchange senior visits to develop their traditional relationship to a new height. The host asked Hungary to provide more scholarships to Vietnamese students and helps Vietnam enter the markets of EU members. Vietnam will try best to create favorable conditions for Hungarian investors to succeed in Vietnam and ASEAN countries, the Vietnamese PM affirmed.

In the afternoon of the same day, in the reception to the Japanese business delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kozo Yamamoto, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asserted that the two countries are having good conditions to strengthen their bilateral long-lasting ties, especially in economy, trade and investment. So, the Vietnamese Government wishes to further develop the comprehensive strategic relationship between the two nations and two governments.

The Vietnamese leader emphasized that, to fulfill this goal, Vietnam and Japan should speed up the implementation of the agreements signed by the two governments, focusing on the projects on the North-South Highway, the North-South Express Railway, and the Hòa Lạc Hi-tech Park. Vietnam is ready to set up a comprehensive cooperation with Japan in developing various energies, including nuclear power and thermoelectricity, confirmed the host.
