Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue partook in the opening ceremony of workshops and forums on economics, tourism, labor between Viet Nam and Japan.

The event also drew the attendance of Japan's Ruling Liberal Democratic Party Secretary-General Nikai Toshihir, 1,100 Japanese delegates, and hundreds of Vietnamese ones.

Mr. Nikai Toshihiro assessed that the Viet Nam-Japan relations have entered the unprecedented fine period. Meanwhile, Deputy PM Hue was upbeat that the rare event would serve as a driving force for practical cooperation especially in economics, trade, tourism, and labor between Viet Nam and Japan especially Japan and the Central region of Viet Nam.

Mr. Hue affirmed that the Vietnamese Government not only hoped that Japan would be the leading investor but also the best one in Viet Nam.

He suggested the two countries perfect institutional frameworks and policies to build up labor cooperation among the two countries.

The Deputy PM proposed the two sides boost people-to-people exchanges and tourism in which only 900,000 Japanese visitors arrived in Viet Nam, accounting for a fifth of Korean guests.

Finally, Mr. Hue hoped that local authorities seize opportunities to develop practical ties.

In reply, Mr. Nikai Toshihiro expressed the aspiration to spur cooperation with Viet Nam. He was convinced that outcomes of the workshops and forums would provide important directions for respective agencies, organizations, and businesses to beef up linkages in the future.

The same day, the two leaders witnessed the launching of Vietjet Air routes from Ha Noi, Da Nang, and HCMC to Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Kagoshima (Japan)./.
