VN-ASEAN heritage space in Hoi An
VGP - An exhibition entitled “Viet Nam-ASEAN Cultural Heritage Space” officially opened on Friday evening in the ancient town of Hoi An in Quang Nam province.
The event is part of the 4th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2013, which aims to honor and promote Viet Nam’s cultural heritage and tourism potential to international friends, and respond to the UNESCO Development and Culture Week.
It also marks the 10th anniversary of the Convention on the Safeguarding of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage and celebrating the new Week of Culture and Development launched by UNESCO.
With the participation of ASEAN countries and Japan and the Republic of Korea, the exhibition aims to honour and uphold world heritage and the values of cultures from ASEAN member nations, as well as Viet Nam.
A number of festivals and traditional music performance will be organised to entertain and educate visitors.
