The visiting Japanese delegation to Vietnam includes 18 members representing different economic sectors and industries in Japan, such as electricity, electronics, chemistry, energy, transport, service, and food. Before the meeting with the Vietnamese PM, the delegation had a working session with Industrial Minister Hoàng Trung Hải and Planning and Investment Minister Võ Hồng Phúc to survey the electricity market and investment environment in Vietnam.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stressed that Vietnam always considers Japan one of her strategic partners. Japan is now the largest ODA provider for Vietnam. Two-way trade turnover between the two countries is always high, and the majority of Japanese enterprises have succeeded in doing investment in Vietnam.

The PM said, at present, Vietnam has signed bilateral agreements with over 70 nations throughout the world. Vietnam is negotiating with Japan to design a new trade pack which can catch economic development of the two countries. The Vietnamese Government will provide best conditions for Japanese investors to do business in Vietnam; encourage and prioritize them to invest in industrial business and production in the country.
