VN’s FDI attraction in nine months
VGP – According to the Department of Foreign Investment under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Việt Nam has attracted US $12.19 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the first nine months of 2010, equivalent to 87.3% of the same period last year.
During the
period, 720 projects, worth of US $11.4 billion, have been licensed, 37.3%
higher than the same period last year. Other 153 projects have been added with the
total amount of US$ 783 million.
In September only,
62 projects were licensed with the total registered capital of US $616 million.

Tàu Province is the biggest FDI receiver, attracting US $2.23 billion from
January to September.
