Van Don Int’l Airport remains closed until March 3
VGP – The Ministry of Transport has decided to extend closure of Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh through March 3 for fears of coronavirus transmission.

Previously, the ministry decided to close the airport for 15 days, starting from January 29, after a security officer working at the airport was confirmed positive for COVID.
Since then, the northern province has recorded 10 new COVID-19 cases linked to the airport which has become a concentrated quarantine camp for 132 people.
With the latest decision, all the airport employees and staff will have to go into self-isolation until the end of March 2.
The Van Don International Airport is the first private airport in Viet Nam, built and operated by local real estate Sun Group./.
