At the meetings, Thinh conveyed the compliments of Viet Nam’s senior leaders to Cuban leaders, affirming that Viet Nam always attaches importance to the special traditional friendship relations with Cuba.

Viet Nam is determined to consolidating and strengthening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and people, she said, adding that the country will stand beside and join hands with Cuba in its national protection and development, protesting and asking for ending encirclement and embargo policies against Cuba.

The two sides’ leaders shared the importance of coordinating to organize activities on celebrating the 60thanniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties (December 2, 1960).

They agreed to join hands in realizing outcomes reached during high-level visits to promote the cooperative relations more intensively, making practical contributions to the development of both sides.

The same day, Thinh and Cuban Minister of Culture Alpidio Alonso Grau attended the opening ceremony of Vietnamese Cultural Days in Cuba, which aims to enhance the mutual knowledge heading to the 60th founding anniversary of the diplomatic ties.
