Viet Nam announces two more Coronavirus-related deaths

VGP – Two female patients infected with COVID-19 became the latest death were reported dead on Monday afternoon, raising the Coronavirus-related death toll to 61.

One of them is a 87-year-old woman from the northern province of Bac Ninh.

She suffered from hypertension and heart failure for years, heart attacks from 2017 as well as Parkinson’s before testing positive for virus on June 6.

The woman lived with her daughter who had tested positive earlier and became COVID-19 patient numbered 8231.

She passed away on June 13.

The causes of her death were due to acute respiratory distress syndrome cased by SARS-CoV-2, setptic shock on the background of heart failure, hypertension, and Parkinson disease.

The other is a 60-year-old woman living in Ha Noi’s Dong Da district.

She was diagnosed with non-hodgkin lymohoma for the first time in November 2019.

On May 19, the woman tested positive for COVID-19 and was taken to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for treatment.

She died on June 13.

The causes of her death were due to septic shock, pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2, invasive aspergillosis on the background of non-hodgkin lymohoma.

Viet Nam has experienced four COVID-19 waves with the national caseload reaching 10,730, including 9,093 local infection cases.

Among the domestic cases, 7,253 have been confirmed since April 27 when the fourth wave broke out while the number of deaths reached 26 over the period./.
