VGP - The Ministry of Health has announced that two residents in Ho Chi Minh City became the latest Coronavirus-related fatalities, taking the death toll to 76, including 41 deaths since the fourth COVID-19 wave broke out in Viet Nam on April 27.

One of them is a 53-year-old woman who tested positive for COVID-19 on June 24.

She passed away one day later due to septic shock and respiratory failure caused by SARS-COV-2.

The other is a 80-year-old man who suffered from hypertension, gout, and cushing syndrome before confirming positive for COVID-19 on June 10.

The man was taken to the Tan Binh District Hospital and transferred to the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases after displaying breathing difficulty.

Due to his old age and underlying health conditions, he died on Saturday afternoon./.
