Vietnamese Ambassador to Lebanon presents credentials

  VGP - Vietnamese Ambassador to Lebanon Tran Ngoc Thach presented his credentials to Lebanese President Michael Sleiman in the capital city of Beirut.

At the ceremony on July 26, the ambassador conveyed State President Truong Tan Sang’s regards and best wishes to the President of Lebanon, affirming that Vietnamese leaders and people always highly value the two countries’ relations as well as welcome the official visit of the president to Vietnam .

Thach said the two countries have been creating a firm foundation and framework for bilateral ties in many fields, especially in trade. He pledged to do his utmost during his term to promote the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador also expressed Vietnam ’s concern over situation of the Middle East , hoping for the stability in the region.

For his part, President Sleiman affirmed that he will pay special attention to boosting the two countries’ relations.

Ambassador Thach also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Adnan Mansour, Minister of Economy and Trade Nicolas Nahas and Minister of Labour Salim Jean Freissati to discuss measures to strengthen cooperation on foreign relations, economics, trade and labour between Vietnam and Lebanon.-VNA
