Vietnamese nationals are friendship envoys, says PM

VGP – In his meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Hungary on Saturday morning, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng hoped that each Vietnamese national will be an envoy who spares no effort to nurture and develop the friendship between Việt Nam and other countries.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highly spoke of the role of overseas Vietnamese in general and those residing in Hungary in particular in promoting the national construction and consolidating the friendship between Việt Nam and the world.

He asked Vietnamese residents in other countries to maintain close contacts with the local authorities and people.

He reiterated the Party and Government’s supports to the community of overseas Vietnamese in general and those living in Hungary in particular. 

There are around 4,000 Vietnamese people residing in Hungary, including some experts in mathematics, physics, informatics, economics, and medicine.

Some Vietnamese people expressed their desire to receive updated information about the fatherland as well as welcome art performers from the homeland. They also wanted the State to support their teaching of Vietnamese and national traditions here.

On the day, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng laid a wreath at the Monument of Hungarian Heroes and hosted a reception given to leaders of the Hungary–Việt Nam Friendship Association.
