Lâm said that a “happy hour” event, featuring traditional tours and other promotions, held at a Vietnamese pavilion received a great deal of interest.
The Vietnamese pavilion, co-hosted by the Việt Nam National Administration of Tourism and the Việt Nam Tourism Association, showcased the products and services of national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and 15 Vietnamese tourism companies.
Vietnamese businesses were successful in promoting National Tourism Year 2008 and the Mekong Delta’s Cần Thơ city, Lâm said.
A series of activities also promoted Hạ Long Bay, including a campaign to have the bay listed as one of the seven new natural wonders of the world. The new list will be announced in August 2008.
Over 200 companies from all corners of the world attended this year’s travel market, the premier world travel and tourism industry event held annually.
