Vinashin increases effectiveness to curb inflation

At the press briefing to announce Vinashin’s six solutions to realize the PM’s instructions on inflation curbing, macroeconomic stability, social security and sustainable growth, Vinashin President Phạm Thanh Bình put forth the motto “effective and strict management-healthy finance and rules-sustainable development.”

First of all, Vinashin will focus its resources on business and production in order to make and hand over products on schedule. Vinashin will also increase the production of domestically-made ships to reduce the trade deficit.

From now till the end of the second quarter, the Corporation pours all resources in 130 factories’ 146 projects on building ships and high-tonnage vessels, steel production, making engines and ship-building devices.

Besides, the Corporation pledged to strictly do thrift practice in production and consumption.

“Increasing labor productivity and raising effectiveness” is the fourth and most important solution to maintain high growth rate while successfully curb inflation.

Vinashin stated to improve its business management to facilitate stable and sustainable development. The sixth solution is to raise solidarity among the staff to overcome difficulties.

With these six solutions, Vinashin believes to earn the total output of VND 12,000 billion and the turnover of VND 10,000 billion in the second quarter.

In the first quarter, Vinashin’s total output reached VND 7,340 billion and its turnover VND 5,120 billion, increasing 95% and 108.2% compared to the same period last year.
