Vocational training quality under strict control

VGP – The quality of 60% of colleges and vocational training schools, 30% of vocational training centers and 50% of related curricula will be examined by 2015, according to a central agency.

It is part of a program which has been deployed by the General Department of Vocational Training under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs since 2008.

Quality verification aims to classify the ranks of vocational training establishments in Việt Nam.

The best ones will receive more investment from the State.

However, the current criteria set for quality verification is yet to be practical, according to experts.

Improving the quality of the workforce is considered one of the three breakthroughs for Việt Nam in the coming decade.
