Volunteer Youth Year 2014 launched

The Volunteer Youth Year 2014 aims to uphold the shock and volunteer role of Vietnamese youngsters for socio-economic development, poverty reduction, social security, and building of new rural areas and urban civilization.

The event also hopes to improve the quality of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, expand solidarity and create favorable conditions for the youth to contribute to national building and protection.  

Right after the launching ceremony, the youth in Dien Bien flocked to nine places to attend safe motorbike driving courses for 500 youth union members, volunteer blood donation campaign, present 110 scholarships for pupils, distribute free medicines, provide free-of-charge medical checkups for local residents; and part take in the groundbreaking ceremony of cultural houses./.
