The WB will provide US $180 million in preferential loans within 35 years and a 10-year-grade period with 0% interest rate.
The credit loans will be disbursed to build infrastructure, purchase training equipment, and set up policy frameworks for the Việt Nam-Germany University to become a leading center in terms of education and scientific research in Việt Nam and meet regional and international standards.
As designed, the university can house 5,000 students, specializing in such domains as electricity technology, IT, civil engineering, bio-technology, industrial economics and technology, manufacture, processing, computer and social sciences.
The project is part of a long-term plan of the Ministry of Education and Planning and the Government’s policy to build world-class universities in Việt Nam./,
