Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan affirmed that Viet Nam’s authorities always place importance on public health care in national development policies.
She expected that delegates will come into agreement on issues of mutual concerns and join in doing research for health care.
Welcoming delegates to the conference, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien confirmed that, by hosting the conference, Viet Nam wants to shows its determination in cooperation for heath care goals.
The conference will mark a new step forward in health care cooperation between Viet Nam and other countries in the region, raising the country’s image to a new height in the comprehensive cooperation with WHO and its member countries, said Ms. Tien.
The conference is held from September 24-28.
