The 14th ACWO General Assembly themed “Enhancing Women’s Effective Participation Towards a Peaceful, Prosperous and Sustainable ASEAN” has plenary sessions on women’s economic empowerment, their role in combating climate change, and the role of governments in fostering women’s advancements and gender equality.

There will be symposiums about poverty reduction, food security, food hygiene and safety, labor and migration, anti-violence against women and children.

The ACWO General Assembly is a forum for regional countries to share experience and information about common issues faced by ASEAN women. It also offers Vietnamese women opportunities to introduce their advancements and gender equality in Việt Nam.
