AFDM held to prepare AFMM

VNGOP – The ASEAN Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting (AFDM) was opened on April 1 in Việt Nam’s central city of Đà Nẵng. The Meeting was attended by all finance deputy ministers and central bank deputy governors from ASEAN countries.

The ASEAN finance and central bank deputies discussed and agreed to submit to ASEAN Finance Ministers for signing on April 4 Protocol 4 on financial services commitment within the Framework Agreement on ASEAN services.
The attendants also exchanged their opinions on the Asian Bond Market Initiative (ABMI) and Chiang Mai Initiative (CMI) as regional cooperative mechanisms to prevent dangers of inflations.

AFDM is a part of the upcoming 12^th ASEAN Financial Ministers’ Meeting hosted by Việt Nam.
