Participants to the event, the last of its kind, agreed that human resource development needs to be regarded as one of the three breakthroughs the country should make in a course toward a basically industrial country by 2020.

In recent years, the vocational training system nationwide has been strengthened, fuelled by growing supply and demand of the labor market.

By the end of 2010, Việt Nam had over 1,000 vocational training facilities, including 123 colleges and 810 training centers.

It plans to build 40 high-quality vocational training establishments, 12 of which will meet international standards, by 2020.

Most of the participants to the conference said that vocational training establishments of international standards will be greatly significant to corporate production expansion.
