Mexican party pushes for stronger ties with VN

VGP - The Labor Party (PT) of Mexico wants to bolster the solidarity and friendship, and expand the bilateral cooperation between the PT with the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) as well as between the two peoples.

PT General Secretary, Senator Alberto Anaya Gutíerrez made the statement in Hà Nội on June 15, while meeting with General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Nguyễn Phú Trọng.

Mr. Gutíerrez said he highly appreciated the great achievements gained by Việt Nam during the 25 years of adopting the renewal policy. He also congratulated the success of the 11th CPV Congress.

Mr. Gutíerrez briefed General Secretary Trọng of the results of the talks of PT and CPV officials, and the inauguration ceremony of the statue of President Hồ Chí Minh in the Presidential Palace’s flower garden.

General Secretary Trọng praised the cooperation between the two parties, affirming Việt Nam’s resolve to foster the friendly ties and the practical and effective cooperation between the two parties and the two peoples.

Earlier, the PT delegation held talks with the CPV delegation led by Mr. Trương Tấn Sang, Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee.
