VN needs more assistance for AIDS fight

VGP - Việt Nam wants to receive further assistance from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.

Deputy PM Trương Vĩnh Trọng made the remarks in Hà Nội on June 27 when receiving Ms. Izaskun Gaviria, Việt Nam Program Officer of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

The Deputy PM highly appreciated effective assistance offered by the fund, which has so far pledged a total of US $160 million for HIV/AIDS prevention and fight in Việt Nam.

Ms. Izaskun Gaviria confirmed that the fund will continue to work closely with Việt Nam, expressing her hopes of gaining assistance for the fund’s successful organization of its conference in the country in September.
