According to the Việt Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP), to date there are 13 Vietnamese seafood exporters licensed to ship products to the country.

VASEP Vice President Ngô Phước Hậu said the VPSS had sent its third mission to Việt Nam this year in order to rubber stamp Vietnamese seafood exporters.

During its stay in the country from September 16-26, the mission will work with more than 20 local businesses.

Russia has become one of Việt Nam’s major markets and in the first half of this year Russia accounted for 5.2 percent of Việt Nam’s total seafood export turnover, ranking fifth seafood importers after the EU, the US, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
