VN, Laos agree to foster cooperation

VGP - PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and his Lao counterpart Thongsing Thammavong on Sunday agreed that Việt Nam and Laos should broaden and deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields.

PM Thongsing Thammavong said that this year, the two countries should accelerate the implementation of signed cooperation programs and agreements, celebrate their political events in the Việt Nam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year.

The Lao PM said he wants Việt Nam to continue sharing good experiences and models in socioeconomic development, and assisting Laos in human resources training.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng share the views, saying that the two sides should put forth more measures to make cooperation programs more effective and practical, bolstering the Việt Nam – Laos special cooperation relations.

The two PMs agreed that the two countries should create most favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest in Laos. The two sides also need to strengthen exchanges of experiences and visits at various levels, as well as trust and mutual understanding between the two nations.

The Lao PM visited the three provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai and Bình Định from February 23-26, at the invitation of PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng.

During the visit, the Lao delegation learned experiences in socioeconomic development, mobilization social resources for reducing poverty and maintaining social stability, security, defense…, the Lao PM said.
