CPI drops in HN and HCM City

VGP - Consumer price index (CPI) in March grew only 0.19% in Hà Nội, and 0.12% in Hồ Chí Minh City, the lowest rate in the last 19 months.

According to the Hà Nội Statistics Department, among 10 groups of products and services that saw price hikes, only price of the accommodation, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group rose over 2% (2.84%), while that of transport increased 1.36%, and that of food and foodstuff dropped 0.8%.

CPI of Hồ Chí Minh City in March was greatly lower than February (1.32%) and last March (2.2%), according to the municipal Statistics Department.

Prices of food and foodstuff declined 0.74%, and that of transport rose only 0.65% over last month.
