Japan supports infrastructure development in VN

VGP – Japan always attaches importance to the relations with Viet Nam and gives a priority to infrastructure development in the Southeast Asian country.

Japanese Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism made the affirmation on September 25 in Ha Noi during his courtesy call to Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai.

The host leader said that he was pleasant to witness the developments in the strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan over the last time.

Japan, said Mr. Hai has supported Viet Nam to implement significant infrastructure projects through the large and stable ODA provision.

The Deputy PM hoped that the Japanese Government in general and the Ministry in particular continue to support the realization of ongoing projects like the North-South Expressway and the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant and assist the host country in successfully applying PPP investment model in infrastructure construction.

For his part, the Vice Minister affirmed that Japan always respects for the relations with Viet Nam.

Mr.  Yoshida Osamu took the occasion to seek the Vietnamese Government’s support for the implementation of large-scale projects between the two sides such as Lach Huyen port, Long Thanh airport and Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant.

He hoped that Viet Nam would create a legal framework for Japanese investors to engage in infrastructure development projects in Viet Nam in PPP form./.
