Party top leader receives Chinese senior officials

The Chinese party delegation is led by Mr. Li Jianguo, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee.

Mr. Li stressed that the Chinese Party, Government and General Secretary Xi Jinping treasure development of strategic partnership for comprehensive cooperation between China and Viet Nam, and are willing to reinforce and bring the bilateral ties to a new height, in a new period of stable and deepened development.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong asserted that the ceaselessly flourishing relations between the two parties and the two countries have become an important foundation for the two sides to strengthen exchange and cooperation on all fields, and properly handle remaining issues, including sea-related ones.

The two sides pledged to develop their friendship and comprehensive cooperation in a sound and stable manner, for benefits of the two peoples, and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Earlier, Ms. Tong Thi Phong, member of Politburo of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly, held talks with Mr. Li Jianguo.
