Vinataba restructures towards higher efficiency

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the restructuring plan of the Viet Nam National Tobacco Corporation (VINATABA) in the 2012-2015 period.

The aim of the plan is to modernize the corporation so as to make the tobacco industry highly competitive in the fierce competition against foreign rivals.

Under the plan, besides its main business lines of processing, manufacturing and trading tobacco, the corporation will also get involved in food processing and other industries, which will be tasked by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The parent company- VINATABA will have 100% of capital owned by the State.
