National Steering Committee for ODA, preferential loans established

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai was appointed to be Head of the Committee and Minister of Planning and Investment to be Deputy Head.

Members of the Committee include Deputy Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Foreign Affairs, Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Transport, Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Health, Education and Training.

The Committee is responsible for proposing to the Prime Minister orientations and policies to lure and use ODA and preferential loans in an effective manner.

It will also help the Prime Minister to coordinate relevant authorities and localities in preparing and carrying out programs and projects using ODA or preferential loans.

Moreover, it is assigned to collect feedback from Vietnamese agencies and sponsors, direct relevant agencies to complete management regulation, and streamline administrative procedures in ODA management and use to boost disbursement of the capital source./.
