Boisterous production activities seen early in new year

VGP – Right in the very early days of a lunar new year, many producers started their operations and a number of exports were delivered.

On February 10 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), two vessels - Ultra Tronador of 32,800DWT from Panama and Vinacomin Ha Noi, 7,700DWT – became the “first guests” to the Cam Pha Harbor where they received first tons of coal delivered in the Year of Snake.

At least 18,000 tons of coal dust Hon Gai 9A were filled in Ultra Tronador for Japan and 7,500 tons of coal dust Hon Gai 3C loaded on Vinacomin Ha Noi to serve a cement factory in Tay Ninh Province.

The same day, seven among 30 export marine product processing factories in the southern province of Ca Mau started their production activities. Aquaculture is one of key economic sectors of Ca Mau. The province produced 320,000 tons of marine products and earned an export turnover of US$950 million last year.

On the second day (February 11), many supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City opened to meet local people’s demands for food and foodstuff.

Supermarkets Sai Gon (District 10), Satra Pham Hung (District 8) and Tax (District 1) opened at 8AM and closed at 10PM.

Nineteen Satrafoods convenient shops operated from 6AM until 9PM.

Big C, Maximart, and Citimart will reopen the third day (February 12) of the Lunar New Year.
