PM okays Dutch-funded mother and birth mortality reducing program

VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the PM approved on January 02 the program "Reducing mother and birth mortality towards the Millennium Goals 2006-2010" funded with a nonrefundable aid of €7,500,000 from the Dutch Government. The corresponding capital to the program will be taken by the central budget grants for administration and non-profit activities to the Ministry of Health (MoH) and participating provinces annually.

The PM entrusted the Ministry of Planning and Investment to send an official note to the Dutch Government for program funds.

The MoH was assigned, on the basis of input from relevant agencies, to work with the Dutch side to write program documents and approve them in conformity with the regulations on ODA management and use.
