Approving the project to deliver message of the APEC 2006 Summit Week

(Vietnam Government Website) – On 3 November, considering the report of the sub-committee for communication and culture (under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ department of information and media), Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem, chairman of the national APEC committee approved a project to deliver message of the APEC 2006 Summit Week.

The Deputy PM assigned the sub-committee to communicate and exchange information with the content sub-committee and protocol sub-committee to follow the situation and cover activities to be held during the week.

On the same day, considering the request of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and on behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Pham Gia Khiem agreed the set up of the Vietnam – Japan cultural exchange forum to replace the Vietnam – Japan cultural exchange committee.

The Ministry of Culture and Information will preside over and coordinate with agencies concerned to establish the forum.
