Lawmakers discuss two bills, pass one

On the same day, the Legislature passed the Law on Science and Technology.

Yesterday, lawmakers focused their discussion on the draft amendments to the Land Law, which have raised different ideas and caught concern of voters across the country.

It has been 25 days since the 5th session of the 13th Legislature started. The summer session, which is scheduled to close on June 21, especially features with the first ever vote of confidence on high-ranking officials.

Other prominent topics include the debate on amendments to the Constitution and measures to support businesses in economic hardships.

The Legislature also approved the Prime Minister’s proposal to appoint State Auditor-General Dinh Tien Dung as the new Finance Minister.

In coming days, lawmakers will pass the Law on Anti-terrorism, the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, the Law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Value-added Tax, the Law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Corporate Tax, the Law on Grassroots-level Reconciliation, the Law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Residence, and the Law on amendments and supplements to Article 170 of the Law on Enterprises./.
