Accordingly, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs was assigned to prepare consultations and measures while the Ministry of Public Security will be in charge of overseeing management as well as punishments for violators.

The Deputy Prime Minister, who doubles as Chairman of the National Committee on AIDS, Drugs, Prostitution Prevention and Control, asked the people’s committees in Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi City, Hai Phong City and Nam Dinh Province to promptly deal with prostitution hotspots in their localities, which have caused public concerns recently.

At a meeting earlier this month to review the prevention of drugs and prostitution in the first six months of this year, local authorities and police in HCM City’s Binh Thanh District, Hai Phong City’s Do Son Town and Nam Dinh Province’s Giao Thuy District were asked to make self-criticism on their loose management over prostitution in their locations./.
