Six medals won at Int’l Mathematics Olympiad

VGP – A team of six Vietnamese students won three gold and three silver medals at the 2013 International Mathematics Olympiad held in Colombia from July 17-27, according to the Ministry of Education and Training.

Three gold medalists are Vo Duc Anh (12th grader from Ha Tinh Gifted High School), Pham Tuan Huy and Can Tran Thanh Trung (11th and 12th grader from the Gifted High School under the Ho Chi Minh City National University).

Three silver medals belong to Dinh Le Cong (12th grader from the Gifted High School under the Vinh University, Tran Dang Phuc (12th grader from the Gifted High School under the Ha Noi National University, and Hoang Do Kien (12th grader from Vinh Phuc Gifted High School.

Last year, Vietnamese students won one gold, three silver, and two bronze medals at the 53rd International Mathematics Olympiad./.
