Mr. Ninh stressed the importance of close coordination among ministries and sectors in applying “the national OSS customs mechanism” and the “ASEAN OSS mechanism.”

The good collaboration would help speed up circulation of goods, cut costs for both businesses and people, he added.

The Deputy PM also asked the National Steering Committee on National and ASEAN OSS Customs Mechanisms to collect requirements and propose appropriate plans to avoid investment and professional overlapping.

Earlier, the National Steering Committee assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Finance to pilot the national OSS mechanism.

The trial procedures include exist/entry/transit of sea-borne vessels at international seaports, electronic customs (in line with Decree 87/2013/ND-CP); granting of certificate of origin in accordance with the Common Effective Preferential Tariff Agreement in ASEAN./.
