Coordination mechanism for macro-economic management reformed

VGP - PM Nguyen Tan Dung has recently approved a project on reforming the coordination mechanism in managing and monitoring the macro-economy to ensure an active, flexible and effective management in coping with domestic and international socio-economic changes.

The project aims to gradually create a stable and favorable macro-economy which is to attract further investment, boost trade and production development and lay a foundation for a sustainable growth.

It is expected to enhance the State management’s capacity and effectiveness as well as improve the State macro-management role to the economy and promote the efficiency of institutional reforms for the socialist-oriented market economy.

It states the coordination in building, issuing, implementing, evaluating and adjusting macro-economy policies, as well as that in ensuring a synchronisation among market factors and market types in the economy, creating and developing the markets of capital, real estate, labour, science and technology for social advancement and equality and environmental protection.

It also deals with coordination in the process of building and monitoring macro-economy policies, in seeking solutions to domestic and international socio-economic impacts on the macro-economy environment, as well as in developing an information system.
