“Rendezvous” for scientists inaugurated

VGP – The Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), a “rendezvous” for Vietnamese and foreign scientists made debut on August 12.

The ICISE will serve as a prominent academic detination in Asia to bring together world leading scholars to high-level international and regular national conferences. 

Located in Quy Nhon City, the 20 hectare-centre will also host several two-week thematic schools, involving groups of 40 to 50 students and junior researchers, coming mainly from Southeast Asia, accompanied by senior lecturers from Asia, Australia, the Europe and the Americas.

Addressing the event, Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan welcomed the international conference which was themed “A door to the universe” as an important landmark mirroring the joint efforts of Vietnamese and foreign scientists, local leaders and Professor Tran Thanh Van and his spouse made for Vietnamese young scientists./.
